Missoula International School goes buggy with Watershed Education Network - Conserve Montana

Click on the link below to read an article prescott school missoula came across while surfing the internet (not for MIS related links).

The article from Conserve Montana fails to mention that Missoula International School is leasing one of Missoula's favorite public schools at the expense of Missoula's public school children and Missoula taxpayers!

Missoula International School goes buggy with Watershed Education Network - Conserve Montana

"About this Place
The Missoula International School is a nonprofit, independent school in Missoula, MT, offering a unique educational opportunity for Missoula families. We provide an engaging international curriculum taught primarily in Spanish for students in preschool through eighth grade. MIS was founded in 1995 as a small, language immersion preschool. Today, MIS offers a Spanish language immersion environment to 174 students."

"At MIS, teachers provide a wealth of multi-cultural and professional experience for the educational development of each child. The educational program is developmentally appropriate and academically rigorous at each grade level. All of the programs offered by MIS --preschool, primary grades and middle school--share a common goal: to inspire principled global citizens and lifelong learners. They also share small class sizes, highly skilled teachers and an educational setting that promotes human connectedness."

"Why We Care
At the heart of Missoula International School is the collective vision of its teachers, staff, parents and students to contribute to a better world. Each member of our school community participates in the delivery of our curriculum in a unique way, and we invite and encourage family participation at MIS.
Diversity at MIS means moving beyond simple tolerance to support and celebrate the rich dimensions of each individual. MIS accepts and respects families, faculty, staff, and community members of all backgrounds and identities who seek connection through the shared goals of lifelong learning and principled global citizenship. MIS embraces broad perspectives and diverse knowledge to further its educational program and guide its students towards personal and global understanding and compassion."
